Black Pepper essential can help spark your inner fire, lift your energy, and support you as you work through things you’ve been carrying. If you’ve been feeling stuck or low on motivation, this is a beautiful oil to explore.
Staying on My True Path with Black Pepper
For me Black Pepper is both a protector and a leader, or maybe a guide. It helps keep me on track - my own authentic track. I'm an Aries sun so I'm all ideas and action but then fizzle out when I get bored, hungry, distracted, you name it - and then start going down another rabbit hole.
Black Pepper helps to protect my energy from some of these bad habits, to stay on task. I know what I want to be doing each day because I plan it, if I get an inspired idea I might look into it, think it through first and if I'm still excited about it, when I have the time, then I'll start it and I'll use Black Pepper to keep me in flow to actually get it done.
Black Pepper is a great oil to use at the start of Autumn, firstly for immunity and as we head into the darker mornings, the temperatures cooling, all the autumny things. For some of us who are solar powered maybe our moods start to fall or get a little darker, Black Pepper keeps us warm and flowing, and boosts our energy.
Essential Oils Oracle Cards

Anoint yourself with Black Pepper mixed with some Carrier oil, or make yourself up a roller bottle and use it throughout the day during early Autumn - or anytime you need a plant ally to support you with the courage to be yourself or to free yourself from habits or (rabbit holes) that drain you. Black Pepper also stimulates your metabolism. Apply your roller over your stomach and then inhale the aroma from between your cupped hands.
As your essential oil collection grows and you get to know your oils, each oil will have a special meaning for you. The more you use it, the more it becomes a kind of anchor and you learn which oils to choose to support you depending on the day, your plans, the season. I love how Black Pepper gives you a little tingle on your nose when you inhale it from cupped hands, it reminds me of Samantha from Bewitched (one of my favourite shows when I was a kid - ha showing my age here) and how she used to wriggle her nose to activate her magical powers. So for me I think of Black Pepper as Bewitched Black Pepper my little magical ally to keep me on track, and to be my authentic self, the real me, no masks, no pretending to be something I'm not, staying in my magic.
The Gateway of Light Activation Oracle

Black Pepper is also connected to the Earth Star Chakra, the energy centre that sits just below your feet. This chakra is all about grounding, feeling safe, and staying connected to the Earth. Black Pepper is a beautiful oil to work with when you want to strengthen this connection. Its warm, spicy energy helps you feel more rooted, steady, and supported, especially when life feels a bit all over the place.
You can simply smell the oil, or anoint yourself with a diluted blend, to help bring your energy down and reconnect with the Earth Star Chakra. As you use it, imagine your energy gently dropping down through your body and anchoring into the earth beneath you. This can help you feel calmer, more present, and more in your body, instead of stuck in your head or scattered in different directions. It’s also a lovely oil to use when you want to deepen your connection with nature. Think of it as a little bridge back to the earth, to the plants, and to that steady, supportive energy that’s always there for you.

I am Divinely Supported
Black Pepper Essential Oil is warming and flowing, I find it a comforting aroma. Use Black Pepper Essential Oil in Fall or Autumn here in NZ to breathe deeply, inhaling and exhaling with relief, knowing that you are divinely guided and supported.
Where to Buy Black Pepper Essential Oil
I mostly use doTerra oils as I'm a doTerra Wellness Advocate, but I can't get Black Pepper here in NZ from doTerra, so I've been using Black Pepper from the lovely local Essential Oils Company right here in Waipukurau - Lotus Oils. Lotus Oils are my go to for when I can't get certain oils I want from doTerra and also for their Carrier oils and DIY supplies and most of all their super friendly service đź©·

Oracle Cards are a tool for self-reflection, insight, and intuitive guidance. They are not a substitute for professional advice, including medical, psychological, financial, or legal support. Essential oils are a complementary wellness tool and should be used with care. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It’s also important to say this — simply using Oracle Cards or essential oils on their own isn’t going to magically change your life.
They are tools. Supportive ones. Powerful ones when used well. But real change comes from the work you’re willing to do. That means looking at your habits, your patterns, your thoughts, your environment…how you’re moving your body, what you’re feeding it, and what you’re feeding your mind. This is about inner work and outer work. The cards can bring awareness. The oils can help shift your state. But you are the one who creates the change.
Over time, you might feel drawn to explore other tools and practices as well — things like journalling, meditation, emotional work, or creating simple daily rituals that support you. Take what feels right for you, and build from there. You are always responsible for your own decisions, actions, and wellbeing.
