Can you ever have too many notebooks? I don’t think so! These little ones are perfect for all my collections of research, from tarot and oracle card journals to scent notes and herb research.

This Flame Tree set comes with three midi-sized foiled notebooks, each with its own design: Pink Garden House, Viridian Garden House and Blue Garden House. They have a sturdy cover and rounded corners, so they’re made to be carried everywhere. They slip easily into a handbag or laptop case.

The artwork is by Lucy Innes Williams, a painter and illustrator with a love of highly ornate textiles, patterns and the decorative arts of the early to mid twentieth century. She works in a mix of gouache, watercolour and printmaking, and you can see all that pattern and detail on the covers.

Why I love them: The pages alternate between lined and blank, so you get a ruled page for your notes and a blank page opposite for sketching, painting or sticking things in. I love using the blank side for the tarot card I’m working with or my oracle card for the week. The covers are so pretty that picking one up always makes me smile.
