Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh Set of 3 Midi Notebooks
Flame Tree
$24.99
I’m always collecting little notebooks, and these ones are a treat for anyone who loves a botanical cover. They’re just the right size for scent notes, herb research, moon intentions and tarot or oracle card journaling.
This Flame Tree set comes with three foiled notebooks, each with a different illustration by Charlotte Cowan Pearson: Stitchworts, Woodruff and Pepperwort; Ling, Cross-leaved Heath and Bell-heather; and Yellow Monkeyflower, Small Bindweed, English Bluebell and Three-lobed Water Crowfoot. They have a sturdy cover and rounded corners, so they’re made to be carried everywhere.
Charlotte Cowan Pearson was an outstandingly talented amateur artist, born in 1837. Her delicate yet accurate watercolours of British plants come from an album in the Library at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, a garden with over 70 acres of picturesque landscape that is a must for all visitors.
Why I love them: Every second page is blank, which makes them perfect for pressing in a sticker, a sketch or the oracle card I’m working with that week. The ruled page opposite keeps my notes tidy. I love that the covers feature real British wildflowers and plants, so they feel quietly pretty rather than shouty. They tuck into a handbag or laptop case, and I smile every time I pick one up.
