How I use my Sun Face + Body Lotion
I got started on this product when my daughter was looking for a good sunscreen. She had a terrible bout of acne and ended up going on to acne medication to get rid of it and the side effects were extreme sun sensitivity, so we needed something powerful but nourishing to protect her young skin. She now swears by this and uses it after her skin care routine daily, I think she will be using this product forever! My daughter likes the fact that it seems to sink in to her quite oily skin. I like the fact that she is getting the added benefit of the essential oils for her mind, she’s enhaling and absorbing a beautiful blend of essential oils including Carrot Seed, Frankincense and Helichyrsum. This formula is oxybenzone, paraben and phthalate-free, as well as vegan-friendly, reef safe and cruelty-free, so I know she’s only applying goodness to her skin after having to be on acne medication. It’s also another way we can sneak essential oils into her life hehehe (she’s so over me trying to make her use essential oils for everything 🤭)
For me, I like the fact that it protects me from blue light which I’m constantly working in, and also for my hands. Who remembers to put sunscreen on their hands right! The last time I went to speedway I didn’t have my new doTerra Sun Face + Body Mineral Sunscreen lotion and my hands were the only thing that got burnt - as I had covered up with a hat and had normal sunscreen on my arms. I also love that my hands are always protected and nourished, I do reapply during the day because my hands really show my age, so I need to protect them more!
I also like that fact that this is my actual moisteriser - so I’m using my oils on my face first after my shower and maybe a serum depending how my skin is feeling then my sun lotion/moisteriser then again depending on what I’m doing - makeup. I myself only use BB cream as makeup and that goes on beautifully over the sun lotion.
